RAVENSHALL AND LYDGATE VICTORIOUS!!

Kirklees Youth Games NewAge Kurling The KS3 and 4 New Age Kurling competitions took place at Newsome High School in May. The events were supported by some very able young leaders from the High School. These events wouldn’t run as smoothly without these young leaders.
There were 6 teams took part in the KS4 competition who played a round robin competition which resulted in Ravenshall 1 winning and Ravenshall 2 coming runners up.
In the KS3 competition there were 8 teams taking part, they played in 2 sections with the winners of each section playing off against each other. The result was Lydgate B the winners with Newsome B runners up.
The standard of play in both competitions was very high, in fact the standard improves every year. This is all part of the Kirklees Youth Games and the winners and runners up will be invited to represent Kirklees in the West Yorkshire Youth Games.
